The Process: From Carcass to Custom Cuts
- At Bakersfield Meat Co., we take great care in handling your meat processing needs from start to finish and ensure a smooth and transparent process for every customer. While we do not offer slaughtering services, we can connect you with trusted professionals who do. Once your livestock is processed, we take care of the rest.
- We accept beef, pork, and lamb for both USDA-inspected custom processing and begin by carefully inspecting each carcass upon arrival. Every beef carcass is aged for 14 days to enhance tenderness and flavor. After the aging process, a member of our team will walk you through our cutting sheet to ensure you get the exact cuts you prefer.
- Once the cutting phase is complete, we package everything with vacuum-sealed packaging to preserve freshness and quality. We’ll notify you as soon as your order is ready for pickup.
